Description
“Like ‘Vectoria,’ this composition, ‘Simultan Dub,’ has a basic polyrhythmic structure, with sounds coming in and out and being sorted into that structure. Andi Toma, my colleague from Mouse on Mars, suggested that it could have been a track on our ‘Iaora Tahiti’ release from 1995. So it’s one of those examples of,even if you were deprived of all your instruments and gear and given completely new tools, you’ll likely come up with the same-sounding material again. The rhythms are based on feedback chains, which at times can create quite steady rhythms. How far you can lean off that steadiness is the reminiscence to a dub song to me.” — Jan St. Werner
