LIA
LIA is an artist based in Vienna, Austria. She is a pioneer of software and net.art, with her earliest work going back to the mid-1990s. LIA has explored every emerging media since that time, including CD-ROMs, the web, apps, and more recently, NFTs. Her practice spans video, performance, software, installations, sculpture, projections, and digital applications, and her works combine traditions of drawing and painting with the aesthetics of digital images and algorithms. Her work has been exhibited online and in physical exhibitions at venues including the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), the Tinguely Museum (Basel), Laboral (Gijón), and many more. Her early online work re-move.org (1999–2003) is a part of Rhizome’s Net Art Anthology.
